CleanTube™ wipers feature heat cauterized rolled edges that reduce the potential for contamination from raw
fibers.
The tubular construction of CleanTube™ automotive wipers allows technicians to “load” their arms with
several wipers at a time, reducing downtime.
CleanTube™ wipers are ideal for removing excess sealant during assembly.
Description
Tube wipers have been a standard tool in the automotive industry for almost 20 years. As with any other tool, all products are not equal. As the leader in surface preparations products, Contec has designed a product for superior performance, improved overall paint quality, and a reduction in total process cost.
Many tube manufacturers have started to make light-weight tube wipers to enable them to produce a lower cost product. While this may meet lower price point, it does not necessarily mean lowest overall cost. At Contec, we design products around optimizing performance and improving first time through numbers. The Textured Clean Tube wiper allows for better removal of excess sealer and contaminants while also being more resistant to fiber generation on abrasive burrs and weld balls.
